Adele or LMFAO?

Hey hey hey everyone! Happy New Year!

This morning I was watching the Hot 30 Countdown with Matty and Maude on TV and the number one song for the year was being battled out between Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' and LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem'

Adele won the duel, and was her song was declared the top spot for the top 30 countdown for the year.

Personally, I think LMFAO should have gotten the crown, but congrats to Adele anyway, her voice is amazing.

What do you think?
Who should have won in your opinion?

I'd be interested to know.

Catch you later,

27th December 2011

My Christmas holiday was pretty amazing. It was much more relaxed this year than last, we spent Christmas with Dad's side of the family and Boxing Day with Mum's side.
I did extremely well with my presents, scoring new clothes, jewelery, music CD's, and more!

N.Y.E (New years eve) is only days away so I better go enjoy the last remaining days of 2011!!

Catch you later,

EJ

A milestone...

2011 will soon be a thing of a memory....with Christmas fastly apporaching and New Years not too far away, it is hard to believe that just months before this, I was struggling to fit into high school, find my way around, use my locker and timetable...now it's just something of every day life.

Today was my last day at school for this year. It has been a fantastic year- I've made many great friends, challenged myself in many ways, and done well in my school work. Next year looks exciting, and boy am I glad I won't be the baby in the school anymore!

Good luck to the Year 7's.....
Everyone in my year are thinking about picking on them next year because this year's Year 8's did that to us...and I agree that it will surely toughen them up...but I won't really be mean to them because it wasn't that long ago I was in their shoes- terrified of school, new routines, teachers, friends, environment....and teasing from the higher years doesn't make it any better!!

Next year looks exciting....and I am definitely looking forward to it.
But for now, instead of looking too far into the future, I will try my best to stay in the here and now....and enjoy Christmas and New Year's.

Merry Christmas Bloggers, and I hope you have all had a great year.

Love

Day 10!

This is by far my favourite newest word!
Hangry is a mixture of hungry and angry, which I feel all the time!
You know that time your so hungry you feel angry? You dont get food in your mouth quick enough?
Hehe, welcome to my world.

Day 9!

Is it just me, or does cooking make you feel good?
A little while ago I made these delicious chocolate muffins...and felt so proud afterwards!! ;p

BONUS- they tasted amazing.

Cooking just makes something inside me scream 'happy!'
Maybe it's the fact I get to lick the bowl.
Maybe it's that I have something to show off to my friends at school when I usually have a boring lunch.
Maybe it's just that I don't do enough cooking!!

Day 8!

For those of you who have seen the Harry Potter films this picture will be all so familiar to you.
Look at the difference a few years makes! He started off as a nerdy little not so good looking kid...and now, PHWOAR! take a look at him now!
So, if you don't look exactly like you want to at the moment, don't worry! A lot can happen in a short time.
Yours faithfully (lol)

Day 7!

Dreams are very weird things. Some are magicial, some are horrible, some you accidentally forget and spend your whole morning trying to remember it again.
Maybe dreams are your minds way of sorting through everything that has happened in a day. That means that once I got chased by a gorilla on a volcano one day...that doesn't make sense!!
Whatever dreams are, enjoy them!
Every night is a new dream, and you never know, tonight's dream might be the best one you've ever had.

Breaking Dawn pt. 1

Today (Sunday 20/11/11) I went to see Breaking Dawn pt. 1 and was pretty impressed. Actually, pretty is an understatement. It had a nice mix of action, romance, and just plain suspense.
It does get a bit gory at the birth of Bella and Edward's baby girl, but overall it was a great movie.

I won't tell you how it ends, but the movie ends at the most annoying spot possible!!
But, a must see for all twi-hards, along with anyone else who enjoys the series!!

Day 6!

Here's a quote of my own ( I didn't make it up I saw it on a website but anyway, here goes!!)

What's the point of loving someone who does not love you back?
There isn't a point.
But your heart sort of decides for you and there's no turning back when you're heart has made up it's mind.

So, there it is.
To all those girls (and guys) out there who have a crush, but don't think they like them back, join the club!! I am in that situation at the moment as well.

Just hope for the best, enjoy the ride!!

If you DO find out they're not interested...silly of them!!
Remember, you can always dream.

Day 5!

Come to think of it, those people who always have smart comments are really fast thinkers.
Unless they practised in front of the mirror the night before, they must have totally awesome brain power!!!

I would call myself random. I'm just random.
Not normal.

EJ

A Pocketful of Eyes

I know I know it is a weird name but I am so getting addicted to this book!!
It's about a girl named Beatrice but everyone calls her Bee. she works at the Mueseum of Natural History, with her boss Gus.
One day, a new kid named Toby starts working at the mueseum. A bit of romance sprouts, but Bee is being quite stubborn and not letting much happen!

But then, someone dies (I would LOVE to say who but you should read it!!!)

And the police are everywhere, saying that he killed himself. But Bee doesnt believe that and thinks someone murdered him.

That's all I'm up to, so if you like mystery thrillers, teenage love or just a good read, I totally reccomend this!!!

What I am reading at the moment...

At the moment I am reading 'Inkheart' by Cornelia Funke. I've only read the first few chapters and it's addictive!!

It's about a girl named Meggie, who is twelve. She lives with her Dad who she calls Mo.

She is used to them moving a lot, her Dad fixes old books which are usually long gone without repair.

One night, it's pouring rain and Meggie can't sleep. She takes a look outside and sees a man standing outside. She goes and wakes Mo, who tells her to go back to sleep saying the visitor is for him. But of course Meggie doesn't go back to sleep. I mean, which child could resist finding out who this strange character is?

It turns out his name is Dustfinger, and he seems to be a friend of Mo's from a while back. Mo takes him into a room and Meggie tries to hear what they're saying, but only catches the name 'Capricorn' and something about a book.

The next morning, her Dad wakes her up early and said they have to leave. He is already beginning to pack her suitcase.

As they are about to leave with a packed car, at the gate is Dustfinger. Apparently they were supposed to meet up, but Mo was about to dash away.

Dustfinger ends up travelling with them. Meggie demands to know where they are going, and who Capricorn is (I won't tell you, you can read the book yourself!)

They travel South to one of Meggie and Mo's many relatives. She lives in a house full of books and is quite rich. Whilst Mo fixes some of her books, both Meggie and Dustfinger snoop around a bit. It turns out, from Meggie's snooping, her relative and Mo are planning to hide the book mentioned earlier somewhere to hide it from Capricorn.

Dustfinger then tells Meggie to go in, since she is 'the face of innocence' to find out what they're doing.
Meggie refuses, but Dustfinger pushes her in.

That's what I'm up to! From what I've read so far, I totally reccomend it!!!

Day 4!

I love this quote so much! Winnie says some of the cutest things ever!!

Everyone dreams of finding their perfect match.
Some lucky people already have!!
Some think they have, but end up breaking up and have to keep looking.

I haven't yet (no wonder, I'm only thirteen!!)

But, I'm sure once I do, this quote will definitely ring true!

At the moment, that quote is relevant to family and maybe my crush.

But, I'm sure that later in life, that will be directed at one person.
(along with my family, can't live without the fam!)

Day 3!

How very true this quote is!

I know in every school there is a 'popular' group. Girls who strut around, like they know it all, think all the boys like them.
They always have their hair done perfectly, have to die for figures, and seem to have confident personalities.

But, I think, under that shell, the people are insecure. They need that shell of confidence and all those other things because they are actually not confident in who they are.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are some popular kids who are actually confident and are actually nice people, but we look at them like the rest of the popular people- bitchy, rude, snobby and 'think they are the best'

I wonder, if I had the opportunity to be popular for one day, step into their life, if it really is all glitz and glamour and boys and smiles as they portray it as?

Day 2

I love this quote. Yes, yes I know Maths is a huge part of daily life and everything, and you need to learn it or you'll be a huge fail in jobs or whatever.
Maths is always asking questions.

Numbers that don't make sense. How many times does this fraction go into this one? What is 9 x 10234?

I mean, what is the point? Why bother learning things like BODMAS when it has no relevance at all when you are an adult unless you become some total BODMAS expert or something?
I mean, why on earth should we need to know if 8 x 3 - 12 + 234 is??

I know that the basic maths structure, like multiplication and addition are relevant, but do we really need all the fancy stuff added on if we're not going to become Maths experts when we're older??

Day 1

SO.very.true

I know for a fact that I am not perfect. Everyone has their slip ups.

But although the so called 'perfect girls', who seem to have it all- boys, beautiful hair, eyes, figure or whatever, they aren't perfect!!

Nobody's perfect!

I'm sure one of the perfect girls thinks her butt is too big.
Or her fingers are too long.
Or her skin is too pale.
Or her toes are too big.

Or, even worse, they could have an absolutely horrible personality!

Just remember that when you immediately judge 'perfect people' just by the way they look. The way you see them.

How do they really feel about themselves?

Saturday 5 November 2011

Today was a big day!!

Today my family and I traveled to a bigger town nearby (about 2 hours away) to do some shopping. Since I live in the country, I was amazed at the amount of people who were strolling around. I bought a 'Glee' karaoke game and a new shirt from 'JayJays' of a squirrel riding a bike (Lol pretty random but it's REAL cute!!!)

I also learnt something else. Today, for lunch, more people preferred 'Subway' than 'KFC'

There's your random fact for the day.

:D

Friday 4 November 2011

I love it when someone's laugh is funnier than the joke... :D

...When someone's laugh is funnier than the joke, even though it may be a really stupid joke, you can't help but laugh at THEIR laugh. Kind of confusing, hey? ;)

Yesterday...

Yesterday at school, I was playing Volleyball for P.E. One guy in my class (who will remain un-named) who is also an idiot/funny guy, who was in the position next to me, asked  "What is the meaning of life?"
Of course I was baffled. "Um, is that really relevant right now, in a game of Volleyball?"
"Totally," he said, but I ignored that. But he wouldn't stop asking me, and I found myself without an answer.
It is such a tricky question, and not many people have an answer. I'd be interested to hear your theories.
